This new sculpture series, Patina IRL, was completed during my residency at the Berlin Art Institute. They are an artifact of many elements (inspiration, expertise, desire, etc.) culminating at the time of this residency. Therefore, I applied an oxidation medium to them in order to activate a patina, which will also continue to transform with time. My intention is to invite viewers into a narrative that unfolds across the continuum of existence.
