Commissioned by the Annex Hotel, as part of my series, Not there, Still here, a culmination of work created directly after Bianchi’s residency at the Berlin Art Institute (May 2024). Through a series of oil paintings, the artist explores the theme of time's passage and the way art endures and evolves through change. Drawing inspiration from ancient sculptures and their weathered surfaces, this work investigates the delicate balance between presence and absence, where both artist and muse transcend their physical form, continuing to exist as traces in oil paint on canvas.
